I'M ALIVE
Hi, I’m here again. Don’t worry, I’m alive. As you can see, I haven’t changed my blog’s name and my door is still open. :-)
First of all, I would like to thank all the people that have written about my blog and/or have sent me comments about my posts, included those of you that are not from our community. Thank you very much!
Also, I would like to apologize for not having written any post during the last month. I know you have gone into my blog expecting to find new posts. I’m so sorry!
I’m very busy at that moment but I promise I will try to organize my time for keeping on writing new posts.
See you soon.

MY MOTHER
During my childhood, I remember her as a woman that she didn’t stay at home as long as I wished, she didn’t come to pick me up from school as often as I wished and she rarely come to the school meetings.
She was always working, studying and doing the housework, so she didn’t have too much time for my two younger sisters and me. Furthermore, she usually got so nervous when she arrived at home and saw all the childish pranks we used to do. She usually was shouting me and she wasn’t very affectionate towards me.
If I had to describe a picture of my mother, it would be she lay down on her bed during the afternoon. She only used to do it when she had migraines, since that was the only way to relieve the pain, when she was exhausted after the whole day or when she was reading a book.
When I was nine years old, my mother gave up to take me to school. My two younger sisters changed to a different school and I had to go alone to school. One year after I changed to my sisters’ school, so I was the person in charge to pick them up from school and look after them. After school, we usually stayed at my grandmother’s house or alone at home.
Now I’m adult and I can understand many things she did. She is a hard-working woman. She left her job as personal assistant at the age of twenty-two when I was born. She already had three children when she was twenty-six. She has always been working and studying English, French or anything regarding her job.
Thanks to her, I love reading, foreign languages and many things else. I take her as an example of not to give up until you get something you want and excel yourself.

FRIENDS
Today I’ve been thinking about my friends.
Friends, you can see them every day, once a week, once a year or whenever. You can explain to them all your thoughts, problems or an unimportant thing that happened to you. They’re always listening to you when you’re talking. They can comfort you when you’re down. They can make you laugh when you’re crying. They are always there for you when you need them.
It doesn’t matter where you met them. It could be at primary school, at university, at work, at a party or wherever. It doesn’t matter who they are. They can be your classmates, your workmates, your neighbours or whoever. It doesn’t matter how long you have met them. It can be for twenty years, ten years, a year, few months or days ago.
It’s so difficult to find good friends, although many times it’s so easy to lose them. The best way for keeping friendly relations is to be in touch with them. By phone, letter, email or whatever.
Today I have written e-mails to some friends. Some are currently living outside Catalonia. I don’t know when I will see them again, and I hope it will be soon.
I still keep in touch with some childhood friends. It’s amazing to see how we’ve changed, although when we meet it’s like time hasn’t gone by.
Friends, it’s just a simple word of seven letters in the dictionary. For me, they really mean so much in my life.

INTRODUCING MYSELF
If you are reading this post, it’s because my blog name works. I would like to think that.
I don’t know what to write but I’m hoping that some sentences appear in my mind right now. Well, I know I must introduce myself to all of you, so I have an idea about how to start writing.
I think that describing yourself to someone is one of the most difficult things to do. Usually because we don’t really know how we are or because we don’t want to admit how we are.
I think you can know yourself better through the eyes of other people. For that reason, I would like to introduce myself from another point of view. I’m going to write what my family, friends and workmates usually say about me.
My family would introduce me as a good person, mature, strong-minded, independent, open-minded and with a strong character.
My manager would introduce me as a perfect assistant, very hard-working, serious, organised, disciplinary, and with a good memory.
My workmates would introduce me as a bossy person, bad-tempered, quite strict, cold and calculating, but also fair and a good colleague.
My friends would introduce me as a friendly person, honest, funny, talkative, spontaneous, with a good sense of humour, a good listener, always available for them when they need me.
I think this is enough for being my first blog. I hope to improve on my written skills.
